  • 500 g chicken breast or boneless thighs cut into medium pieces
  • 9 lasagna sheets ready-to-cook or pre-boiled
  • 400 ml béchamel sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 200 g grated cheese mozzarella, emmental or a mix
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 400 g crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt, pepper, herbes de Provence to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  • Add the chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, and herbes de Provence. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
  • If making béchamel from scratch, prepare it during this time.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). In a baking dish, layer chicken sauce, lasagna sheets, and béchamel. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  • Finish with béchamel and grated cheese on top.
  • Bake for 30–40 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for best results. You can make the sauce ahead of time for deeper flavor. Letting the lasagna rest before serving improves texture and helps with clean slices.
