Ingrédients

  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs or breasts, if preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Whole grain mustard for texture
  • 200 ml Heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 150 ml Chicken broth optional for a lighter sauce

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and brown for about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Add the butter, onion, and garlic to the pan. Cook for 3 minutes until translucent.
  • Stir in the mustards and mix well to release their flavors. Add the cream and simmer on low for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Return the chicken to the pan and cover it with the sauce. Simmer on low for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
